Chocolate Cheese Ball

This is one of my favorite things lately! So yummy!

8 oz. cream cheese
2 tbsp. brown sugar
¾ c. powdered sugar
½ c. butter (not margarine)
¼ tsp. vanilla
¾ c. mini chocolate chips

Let the cream cheese and butter sit at room temperature until soft then mix all together (except chocolate chips). It doesn’t work if butter is melted. Coat outside with chocolate chips. Serve with graham crackers. Enjoy!

3 Month Pictures

So we went and had Logan's picture taken for his 3 month birthday yesterday. We went to Target, but I was kinda bugged because we made our appointment online, but they were 45 minutes late! So at our appointed time, we had just fed Logan and he was so happy and smiley, but he quickly got tired and cranky and ended up falling asleep. So when it was our turn, we had to wake him up, making him cranky, and also giving him sleep lines and uncombed hair (and of course I forgot to bring my comb). I wasn't sure what kind of pictures we were in for. But we actually ended up getting some good shots. Our photographer was pretty good, and it ended up being an ok experience. This time we only got pics of Logan; we're planning on getting some family ones when he turns 6 months. We'll be sure not to go on a Saturday then. We only ordered a few prints, but for a small fee they emailed us all the ones they took. Good thing he's so photogenic (I have no idea where he gets that).

Another Comparison

It amazes me everyday how fast our little Logan is growing. He's over 10 pounds now! I was going back through all the pictures we have of him from when he was born, and it's just too much fun to compare the way he was to the way he is now. It's interesting to see how much he's changed in the past 11 weeks, but also to see how much has stayed the same. Here is an example. The picture on the left was taken when he was just a few days old. The picture on the right was taken yesterday at 11 weeks. He has really grown into himself and looks more like a baby and less like an old man/elf. Just in the past few weeks he has become more active and loves to lay on his back and play with his toys. Sometimes I miss the tiny ball he was when we brought him home, but it's also fun to watch him play too. Can't wait to see what he does next!

The Finished Product

So I was looking through our blog the other day, and I noticed that we never really posted a final blog about our house. We've been here for almost 2 months now, and we're feeling pretty settled. It definitely feels like home. It seems like so long ago that we lived in our condo (which has sadly become the bane of my existance). There are still some furniture items that we want to get, and some bare walls that I'm brainstorming about, but all improvements are pretty much on hold until we can sell our condo. Everything turned out so great, and we haven't really found any major mistakes or things we just hate. Our ward is good (huge). We've found a lot of little connections in the ward. We love the neighborhood and the location. It's good for us that we're further away from shopping and eating out. We both feel very strongly that this is where we're supposed to be and raise our family, which is good, because we plan on living here for a really long time. Although some of you have been here, I took some pictures to show how it things turned out with our furniture and everything (sorry it's messy - I didn't really take the time to tidy before I took the pics). Anyone that would like is welcome to come visit it person!

2 Months

Yesterday Logan turned 2 months old. I can't believe how fast he's growing! We went to the doctor today, and he is 9 lbs and 3.5 oz and 21 and 1/2 inches long. He has nearly doubled his weight from when we left the hospital (4 lbs 15 oz). We're so happy that he's growing so much. The doctor told us we are doing a really good job, which is nice to hear, because we really don't know what the heck we are doing! But things seem to be going very well. It still takes him quite awhile to eat, which can get a little annoying. But he his sleeping really good (knock on wood). A couple of nights this week he slept for over 6 hours straight! It helps a lot that Danny gives him a bottle in the night, making it so I get a full night's sleep. He's getting more and more smiley everyday. He smiles the biggest right when he's dozing off to sleep. Of course I can't ever get any good pictures of him smiling, but here's a video that shows a little smile (sorry I'm a little drunk with the camera and my voice is annoying).

Logan's Blessing

We blessed Logan yesterday and it was a great day! Logan was so good! I was afraid he would be the baby that cried throughout the entire blessing, but he just dosed off during the opening song and slept for the entire rest of the meeting. He was really good and didn't even spit up on his blessing outfit. When we were looking for a blessing outfit, I wanted something that was for sure a top and pants, and not a sleeper, because he wears sleepers all day. I wasn't necessarily looking for something white or dressy really, just something nice. Well, when we found this nice white outfit with silver stars, we knew it was the perfect thing. We knew it was big when we bought it a couple of weeks ago, but we were hoping he would grow into it, and he kinda did, even though it was still a little big, it turned out ok. It was a great day, and we were excited that everyone from both sides of the family got to be there. The dinner after turned out fantastic, thanks to everyone bringing something. We are so excited to have Logan (if you couldn't tell by the numerous posts about him), and we are so grateful that he is loved by so many people.

He IS Growing!

Lisa and I have been having a hard time telling if Logan is even growing at all. He's already grown out of his preemie outfits, but he still looks the same as when he was born. Or so we thought. Here's a comparison of Logan at 5 days and another from today at 5 1/2 weeks in his bouncer. What a difference! There's our proof, he IS getting bigger.
